Image Rhetoric of Internet Meme Images and the Mechanism of Collective Emotional Dissemination in the Social Media Era

With the widespread use of social media platforms, internet memes have transformed into an important carrier of contemporary online culture. The image rhetoric, collective emotional dissemination mechanism, cross-platform influence, and other elements of internet memes deserve in-depth exploration. This paper systematically analyzes the image rhetoric strategies, emotional mobilization mechanisms, and collective emotional dissemination effects of internet memes from the dimensions of visual rhetoric, communication studies, and social psychology. The study holds that internet memes, through means such as collage, parody, and recontextualization of image symbols, construct a unique emotional expression framework to quickly stimulate and spread collective emotions, forming cross-platform emotional resonance. This research provides strong support for understanding the construction of emotional communication collective identity in the social media era, and has significant theoretical value.
